The CM-031 Conductivity Meter allows rapid geophysical surveys to be carried out with using the dipole electromagnetic profiling method
Two parameters are measured simultaneously : Apparent Conductivity (mS/m) for measuring change in ground conductivity conditions Relative size of the real component of the magnetic field which permits detection of buried metal objects .
Both measured values are continuously displayed on the graphic screen during the measurement and saved in an internal memory after operation’s confirmation . User’s adjustment to the analog portion of the circuitry is not required . The digital design of the instrument provides high tolerance of industrial sources of electromagnetic noise . The instrument allow vertical and horizontal dipole measurements to be made in manual or automatic mode and data can be stacked to improve the signal to noise ratio . Reserve batteries prevent loss of data from memory wich is capable of storing results from hundred of measured profile ( approx. 200 – 1000 profile measurements ) . Communication software allows transfer of data from memory to the user’s computer for further processing or presentation using standard commercial programs . With its built-in PC control & storing unit its capability to simultaneously measure changes in ground conductivity and to detect metal objects , the CM – 031 is the ideal geophysical instrument for fast , accurate site surveys of contaminated and derelict land . |
